Received a undergraduate degree in Biology at Brigham Young University, then graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago Medical School. He completed a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois Chicago where he was honored for his superior patient care. Dr. Edwards subsequently trained as a Sports Medicine Fellow with Case Western, working as an assistant team physician for the Cleveland Browns. At Case Western, he trained under Dr. Michael Salata, one of the foremost hip preservation surgeons in the country.
His specialties include sports medicine, hip preservation, shoulder surgery, tendon repair, and ACL reconstruction. His work with the Browns gave him a wealth of information about serious sports injuries, and the best strategies for preventing and treating them.
Dr. Edwards, his wife Jacqueline, and their son Luke, live in Utah Valley and enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time with their family.
