Michael Carlson, MD

Dr. Carlson loves orthopedics because it allows him to help patients with debilitating injuries return to their normal activities. His anatomy classes initially sparked his interest in medicine and led him to choose orthopedics as a specialty. Dr. Carlson loves meeting people and enjoys working with each patient to understand their unique situation and help them recover. He strives to spend extra time with his patients to understand their goals by developing a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Carlson tends to be more conservative with his surgical treatment and likes to give nonsurgical treatment options before moving to more invasive surgical treatments. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Carlson enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and golfing.
